Handcraft


Children spend their free time making different house hold works, horticultures and different artistic works. They made scarps socks and different garments made by their own hand



Sport




Two foot ball teams were organized in age level and participated in  foot ball computation prepared by  government Offices the firs team was consisited  children under 15 years old the second team was under 17 years old.

Although the two teams were not passed the tournament they showed their foot Ball talent to the community and some were even registered as star foot ball player.

Moreover, they showed high discipline on foot ball game and win the cup of good conduct and discipline of the  year 2012.

New year celebration


According to Ethiopian calendar the new year  of 2005 started on September11, 2012. Traditionally the new year is very special holyday. Every family would have at least chicken dish ( that we  call it ‘’Doro Wote’’  new clothes and etc. It is one of the happiest day of the year, by which all people exchanges good wishes and gifts.



 As a family all village children celebrated Ethiopian new year in warm family sense

by preparing doro wote and traditional soft drink  called Kenito  which is made from roosted barley. Children enjoy New Year celebration and worship the Lord together with staffs and gave thanks to almighty God. In the midst of the ceremony, there were also Drama in titled ‘’let’s help street children’’. All children were adored with new clothing and worshiped the Lord and thanked the donors and the founders and staff members who are working conjointly for the well being of children.

Sinker shoe, plastic slipper shoe, trouser, and ‘’T’’ Shirts or dress, pants socks were bought to all (148) children.



Summer family visiting program


Summer vacation program, is part of our pre integration program.  Through pre integration program Children may have better knowledge about the outside community through summer visiting program; children will have an opportunity to know the actual living condition of the community which is the future host of all children. Destiny of our children is determined by well integrated

This is one of our pre integration program in which children start to integrate themselves with the outside community so that they will be not guest for outside community during their integration.




Academic Result


In the last Ethiopian academic year of 2004, we had seven 8th Grade students and five grade 10 students. These students were taking National examination in April 2012 and their result was notified at the end of August 2012. The first fruit of Bridge of Hope children’s Village is very encouraging. All our first fruits score a high grade, despite the fact that they were highly vulnerable and psychologically affected before they admitted to Bridge of Hope children’s Village.



Such a result shows that our effort to take care of these destitute children is a true remedy for orphan and vulnerable children, who were negatively, affected in their early age. It is a reflection of our genuine and diligent commitment to give proper care for our Children. Look at the following result with photos:

Note that the minimum pass mark  of 10th grade Students to the Preparatory School in 2004 Ethiopian  Academic year ( 2012-2013 GC) is 2.40 for male Students and 2.01 to female Students.
